Umm... life has been busy... Bourbon Street, anyone?

HUGE ASS BEERS TO GO sign

Sunday, May 7, 2006

Where to start with an update to this page, somewhere between going to St Kitts for a week at the beginning and spending the spring break in New Orleans and all the all nighters between then and now, it has all become one big blur.

I'll be posting stuff on each of the events, but wanted to get this cool pic up for the mean time :-). Pictured is me and my friend Juan from Ecuador on Bourbon street, enjoying ourselves. As can be seen :-D And no, those drinks we are holding are not the huge ass beers spoken of on the sign, those were 32oz, we were taking it easy. Had to get up and move fridges and stoves and pull down walls and such.

The French Quarter of New Orleans really didn't get damaged at all, and business seemed very much like usual for New Orleans. Very entertaining. Once you got out of the downtown area though, things got a lot less pretty, and the destruction was very humbling. I'll get some pictures of the destruction up sometime (soon hopefully). I have them on my Facebook album, you can check those out here, even if you don't have an account.

Hoping to get up to Canada to visit Daniel after exams, he is in a religion school in Toronto. He has a blog if you haven't seen it: http://danieltacf.blogspot.com/
